Set Up Wi-Fi Conneciton
Turn on your Xbox 360 and access the Internet configuration page by attempting to connect to Xbox LIVE. After the connection fails, choose "Test Connection."
Open the wireless setup screen by selecting "Configure Network," then "Wireless Mode."
Search for your wireless home network by choosing "Scan for networks." Wait for the results to appear.
Choose the network to which your Windows Media Center PC is connected.
Enter the appropriate network security key, and then press "Start" on the controller. This configures your Xbox 360 to access your Windows Media Center wireless network.
Configure Windows Media Center and Your Xbox 360
Access the main dashboard menu, find "Windows Media Center" in the "My Xbox" section and press "A" to open the setup wizard.
Pass the first prompt in the setup by highlighting and selecting "Next."
Record the eight-digit code your Xbox 360 displays. This code will help you configure Windows Media Center on your PC.
Select the "Extender" notification from the taskbar on your PC, and then click "Yes" on the following message. This automatically launches Windows Media Center and begins the Xbox 360 configuration process.
Pass the first prompt, which summarizes the process, by clicking "Next."
Input the eight-digit extender code provided by your Xbox 360 from Step 3. Click "Next" after you input the correct code.
Select the firewall option corresponding to your PC, and then select "Next."
Choose "Yes" on the following prompt to allow your media folders to be viewable. Click "Next." Your computer will then finish the configuration process. Select "Finish" when the process is complete.
