How to Contact Microsoft to Get My Xbox Repaired

From playing action games to movies on DVDs, your Microsoft Xbox provides hours of entertainment as well as access to online gaming. The device interfaces with your home's audio system and accepts a variety of add-on controllers and accessories. The Xbox is not without its problems, though, including not playing games properly, overheating and not powering on. When problems arise, there are two ways to contact Microsoft Xbox Support for getting your Xbox repaired.

Calling Xbox Support

  Call 800-469-9269 for Xbox Support. Xbox Support is available seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., Eastern Standard Time and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. You can also reach Xbox Support by calling 425-635-7180.

  Give the Xbox Support representative your gaming console's serial number, found on the back of the device, and describe the problem you are having.

  Write down the repair information about where to take/send your Xbox unit that the representative gives you. The representative might prompt you through a series of troubleshooting steps to help him better understand the problem you are having with your Xbox.
Emailing Xbox Support

  Open your computer's Internet browser. Click the "E-mail Xbox Support" link in the Resources section.

  Enter your name and email address in the boxes under the heading "1. Provide your name and personal e-mail address below."

  Click the down arrow next to "Choose a Service:" and select "Xbox Hardware." Click the down arrow next to "Problem Type" and select the problem your Xbox is having.

  Enter a detailed description of your problem in the box next to "Describe your problem."

  Click "Submit." An Xbox Support representative will contact you via email with repair information and where to take/send your Xbox unit.
