How to Charge a 360 Wireless Battery

The Xbox 360 console uses wireless game controllers that are powered by batteries. The Xbox 360 play and charge kit consists of an Xbox 360 rechargeable battery pack and charge cable. The cable is used to charge the wireless battery pack. The Xbox 360 controller can be used while the battery pack is charging. However, using the controller while charging will decrease the charging speed of the battery pack.

Xbox 360 console
Xbox 360 controller
Play and charge kit (rechargeable battery pack and charge cable)

Instructions

  Insert the end of the charge cable into the USB slot on the front the Xbox 360 console. Only the correct end of the charge cable from the play and charge kit will fit into the USB slot.

  Insert the other end of the charge cable into the port on the bottom of the Xbox 360 controller. This unit needs to be the controller with the Xbox 360 rechargeable battery pack inserted into it. The play and charge kit cannot recharge the standard controller battery pack that contains two AA batteries.

  Turn on the Xbox 360 console. The light on the end of the charge cable connected to the controller will turn red.

  Wait for the light on the charge cable to turn green. This light indicates the battery pack is fully charged. You can use the controller to play Xbox 360 games while you wait for it to finish charging.
