How to Play Quicktime Videos on Xbox

The Xbox 360 system has a number of other functions besides playing games, including viewing Quicktime videos. You must have an Xbox 360 that is connected to your home WiFi Internet with at least one computer also connected to the network. Your Xbox 360 must be updated to the newest firmware version to recognize the Quicktime video file for playback. You can stream the Quicktime movie files to your Xbox 360 from your computer̵7;s Windows Media Center library over your home network.

Instructions

      Choose ̶0;My Xbox̶1; from your system̵7;s main menu and choose ̶0;Windows Media Center.̶1;

      Respond to the prompts on your television and allow the Windows Media Center software to install on your Xbox 360.

      Record the ̶0;Media Center Setup Key̶1; you will receive once the configuration is complete.

      Launch Windows Media Center on your computer.

      Click ̶0;Tasks̶1; from the menu and choose ̶0;Add Extender.̶1;

      Type the ̶0;Media Center Setup Key̶1; you recorded from your Xbox 360.

      Confirm the configuration to add the extender to your computer̵7;s Windows Media Center.

      Select the ̶0;Windows Media Center̶1; option from the menu on your Xbox 360.

      Choose ̶0;My Videos̶1; from the ̶0;Windows Media Center̶1; menu on your Xbox 360. You should now see a list of videos from your computer̵7;s Windows Media Center library, including any Quicktime videos.

      Use the left-hand navigation pad on your Xbox 360 controller to navigate to the movie you would like to play.

      Press right on the right-hand navigation pad on the controller to begin playing the video. Press left on the right-hand navigation pad to stop the video.
