Check the Adapter
Check the USB connector on your wireless networking adapter. Make sure it is securely plugged into the XBox's USB port.
Adjust the antennae on the adapter. Make sure it is facing up.
Check the light on the front of the adapter. If there's no light, it means the adapter isn't receiving power. Unplug the adapter's USB and plug it in again. If the light still doesn't turn on, unplug the USB port and plug it into the front of the console. If the light is red, the adapter isn't being recognized by the gaming console. Unplug the adapter's USB port and plug it into another port, either in front of or on the side of the gaming console. If it's flashing a red light, it means your console is having hardware failure and you will need to contact XBox support at xbox.com/support/contact. A solid or flashing green light means the adapter is connected or trying to connect to the wireless network.
Reset the Settings
Unplug the USB connecting the wireless networking adapter to the XBox gaming console.
Turn on the XBox and go to "My XBox" using the controller. Select "System Settings" then "Network Settings" followed by "Configure Network."
Click on the "Additional Settings" tab and select "Restore to Factory Defaults." Press "Yes" when you're promoted to restore the factory defaults. This will reset the network settings only, not the console settings.
Turn off the XBox by pressing the "Power" button.
Plug the wireless networking adapter back into the gaming console and turn the XBox on. You'll need to reconfigure your wireless adapter again.
Reconfigure the Settings
Go to "My XBox" and then "System Settings."
Select "Network Settings" then "Configure Network."
Click the "Basic Settings" tab and then select "Wireless Mode." Select "Scan for Networks." Search for your wireless network name and then select "Scan for Networks" again.
Type your wireless network password and then press "Done" when complete.
Hold down "B" on your controller and a window will appear. Select "Test XBox Live Connection."
