Technical Specifications of the New Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle

The original Xbox 360 is one of the best-selling video game consoles in the world, according to the VGChartz Network. Microsoft is planning to release two versions of the second-generation Xbox 360 console, including a revamp of the Xbox 360 Arcade bundle, on August 20, 2010.
  1. CPU and Memory

    • The Xbox 360̵7;s CPU consists of three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz. There are two hardware threads per core, for a total of six threads. Data is transferred over a 2.7 GHz front side bus. The Xbox 360 utilizes 512 MB of GDDR3 RAM.

    Graphics

    • The Xbox 360 features a custom graphics card manufactured by ATI, with a 500 MHz clock speed and 10 MB of embedded DRAM.

    Hard Drive

    • Unlike the old Arcade version of the Xbox 360, the new version will include a hard drive. ElectronicTheater.co.uk reports that the hard drive will hold 4 GB of data--enough to run the controllerless Kinect motion-control gaming system.

    Ports

    • The new Xbox 360 Arcade will have the same ports as the Elite version, including two memory unit ports, three USB ports, an Ethernet port, an AV port, a HDMI port and the ability to connect four wireless controllers.
