How to Move Original Xbox Saves on a 360 Hard Drive to a Memory Unit

If you have an Xbox 360 with a hard drive installed, that will be the default location for your game saves. Depending on the size of your hard drive, you may run out of space and need to install a memory unit to continue adding game saves or downloading content. If you have installed a memory unit in your Xbox 360 and want to clear up space in your hard drive, move your saves from the hard drive to the memory unit.

     Turn on your Xbox 360 and a controller and open "System Settings" from the "My Xbox" menu.

     Click on "Memory," and then choose your hard drive from the list of storage devices.

     Select "Game saves" as the type of item, and then choose the specific game save you wish to move to your memory unit.

     Select "Copy" or "Move," and then select your memory unit as the destination. Your Xbox game save will now be moved.
