How to Play Games on the Xbox Hard Drive

The Xbox 360 is a well-known video game system produced by Microsoft, that comes with an internal hard drive for saved game files and even whole game programs. If you want to play a game from your Xbox hard drive, you must first copy the game from the game disc. Once the game is copied to the Xbox hard drive, you can easily access it for immediate playing. Copying a game to your Xbox 360 hard drive allows you to operate the game faster and more quietly.

  Insert the Xbox 360 game into your system and select "My Xbox" from the Xbox dashboard. If the game automatically starts, exit from it to return to the Xbox dashboard.

  Move the cursor over the game title and press the "Y" button on your Xbox controller.

  Select the "Install To Hard Drive" option by pressing "A" on your controller. The game will be installed onto the hard drive of the console so that you can access it and play the game with shorter load times.

  Select the game from the "My Xbox" menu of the Xbox dashboard to play it from the hard drive. While the game will play from the hard drive, the game disc still needs to be in your console for it to work properly.
