How to Remove the XBox 360 Faceplate

Microsoft's Xbox 360 has several customizable features that can help any gamer sufficiently personalize their video-game console. For instance, users can change the background on their system's dashboard or add custom skins to change the color and design of the console's exterior. Additionally, users can purchase different faceplates, which attach to the front of the Xbox 360. To attach another faceplate, users must first remove their old one.

     Turn off the Xbox 360.

     Detach all accessories from the front of the console such as wired controllers and memory cards. Close the disc tray.

     Grip one narrow side of the faceplate and pull it outward until it detaches from the front of the console.

     Pull out on the other side to finish removing the Xbox 360's faceplate.
