How to Clone an Xbox Hard Drive

If you recently purchased a new Xbox 360 or are trying to upgrade the size of your hard drive, you may wonder whether you are going to lose your profiles and all of your saved games.   • Xbox 360 console
  • Xbox 360 hard drives
  • Data transfer cable
  • Data transfer disc

Instructions

    • 1

      Remove any accessories you have attached to the console. For example, remove the wireless adapter. Do not remove the old hard drive.

      Press the "Power" button on the console to turn it on. Turn on a controller as well.

      Insert the transfer cable into your new hard drive. Connect the other end directly into the console.

      Press the "Eject" button on the front of the console. Insert the disc and close the tray. Wait for the disc to load.

      Follow the instructions on-screen to transfer your data.
