Insert the memory unit or USB drive into the port on your Xbox 360. Note that the 2010-redesigned Xbox Elite S console does not feature memory unit ports and is only accessible with a USB flash drive.
Highlight "System Settings" from the "My Xbox" menu, and press the "A" button. Highlight "Memory," and press the "A" button.
Highlight your memory unit or USB drive from the list of storage options, and press "A." Highlight the type of content you wish to transfer, and press the "A" button. Highlight the specific item your wish to transfer, and press "A."
Highlight "Copy" or "Move" from the options listed, and press the "A" button to transfer the item. Select the Xbox hard drive from the list of storage options to set the destination for the transfer, and press "A." Selecting "Copy" will leave the original item on the memory unit or USB drive while placing a copy on the hard drive, while "Move" will transfer the original file and remove it from the portable storage device. Once the transfer process is complete, the file will now be accessible from the Xbox 360's hard drive.
