How to Get a Second Headset to Work in Xbox Live

The Microsoft Xbox 360, like other seventh-generation home gaming consoles, supports a large number of first-party wireless accessories, including wireless headsets. These headsets work like wired headsets except for the fact that they are not connected to a controller and thus must occupy on of your Xbox 360's four wireless ports. Thus, if you are playing with a friend, it is possible to connect more than one wireless headset to work with the console as long as no other accessories are plugged in.

Instructions

  Turn the wireless headsets and Xbox 360 on. If your headsets are not working properly, you may need to charge the headsets with your USB charger.

  Press the "Connect" button on the Xbox 360. This button is located to the right of the memory card ports on the front of the console.

  Hold the "Connect" button for more than a second. The wireless headsets will self-connect to the first available wireless ports on the Xbox 360.

  Connect any other wireless accessories (likely controllers) to the remaining two wireless ports on the Xbox 360.
