How to Fix an XBox 360 AC Adaptor & Power Cord

When troubleshooting the Xbox 360 AC adaptor and power cord, there are several basic approaches you can take to help fix and resolve any issues. The Xbox 360 is powered through the use of the external AC adaptor and power cord, which when properly connected to the Xbox 360 and a power outlet allow your game system to operate. When something interferes with this connection your system will remain inoperable until the issue is resolved.

  Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet it is connect to and plug it back in to ensure you have a good connection.

  Plug the power cord into a different electrical outlet.

  Disconnect the power cord from the Xbox 360's power supply and from the outlet is currently plugged into.

  Look over the power cord carefully to ensure it is not damaged.

  Plug the power cord firmly back into the wall outlet and power supply.

  Plug a different Xbox 360 power supply and power cord into your game system and wall outlet. If the system turns on, your previous power supply and cord must be replaced.
