How to Tune a Drift Car in Forza 2

Unlike in the racing game "Forza Motorsports 3" for Xbox 360, there is no quick tuning option in "Forza Motorsports 2." This means you will have to tune the car manually using the Tune Setup controls. This can be a rather involved process, especially if you are tuning a drifting car. In any case, the specific adjustments will vary from one type of drifting car to the next, but there are a few tips to keep in mind that will work well on any car.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the "Upgrade" option from the main menu and select "Tune Setup." To navigate through the tune-up area, press the RB button. Stop pressing the RB button when you get to the tires screen. Using the directional pad and A button, add more air pressure to the tires so they will drift more easily over the asphalt.

    • 2

Use the RB button to navigate to the gearing screen. Use the directional pad and the A button to add more acceleration to each gear. Adding more acceleration will give you a better drift capability.

    • 3

Use the RB button to navigate to the alignment screen. Use the directional pad and the A button to center the black line in the middle of each tire's gauge area. This will give you more control when drifting.

    • 4

Use the RB button to navigate to the springs screen. Use the directional pad to adjust the stiffness and height of your springs. The stiffer the springs are, the better you will accelerate. Lower your car to make it cling to the road as you drift, but be sure not to make it so low that the car has a chance of bottoming out.

Use the RB and LB buttons to navigate to the Areo screen. Use the directional pad to add more downforce to your car. More downforce will keep the car more connected to the ground, giving it better handling.
