How to Save 360 Games on an External Hard Drive

Saving your Xbox 360 game to a hard drive reduces the load time when you play the game. You don't need an official Xbox 360 hard drive to take advantage of this feature. You can plug a USB hard drive into your Xbox. Note, however, that you still need to have the disk in the Xbox to play the game to allow the Xbox to verify that you are the owner of the game. The first time you use a hard drive you need to configure it for your Xbox.
