Windows Vista
Open the "Start" menu on your desktop, then click on the "Add Extender" command located in the "Tasks" sub-menu.
Follow all prompts that appear on your screen until you&'re asked to enter an eight-digit key.
Go to your Xbox 360 and select "Windows Media Center." This can be found in the "My Xbox" sub-menu of the "Dashboard."
Input the eight-digit set-up code displayed by your Xbox 360 into your PC.
Follow all displayed prompts to complete the set-up. This will allow you to watch videos from "Windows Media Center" on your Xbox 360.
Windows XP
Click on the "Media Center Extender Manager" icon in the start menu. This icon can be found by pointing your mouse to "All Programs," then "Accessories" and finally "Media Center" within the start menu.
Open the "File" menu and click on "Add a New Xbox 360."
Follow all onscreen prompts until you&'re asked to input an eight-digit code.
Go to your Xbox 360 and access the "Windows Media Center" menu in the the "My Xbox" section of the "Dashboard."
Take the eight-digit code the Xbox 360 gives you, input it into your PC and click "next."
Follow all onscreen prompts to complete the set-up. Your Xbox 360 is now capable of displaying videos using "Windows Media Center."
