How to Use PS2 Guitar Hero II Guitar on Xbox

Guitar Hero II is a video game played on both the Xbox and PlayStation 2 consoles. These games require you to purchase separate guitar controllers. These controllers are considerably more expensive than standard system controllers yet only come with either a PS2 or Xbox connection. It is possible to hook up a PS2 Guitar Hero II controller to your Xbox instead of purchasing an additional Xbox Guitar Hero controller.

Xbox
PS2 Guitar Hero II controller
PS2 to Xbox 360 converter
USB to Xbox adapter

Instructions

  Insert the Xbox end of the USB-to-Xbox adapter into one of the Microsoft Xbox ports (there are four available on the front of the system). Connect the USB end of the adapter into the Xbox 360 side of the PS2-to-Xbox 360 adapter.

  Insert the PS2 end of the adapter into the connection port on the Sony PlayStation 2 Guitar Hero II controller.

  Power on the Xbox system and wait for the game to load. Press the "Start" button on the controller once the menu appears on the screen to begin the game.
