How to Download Songs for Xbox 360 Rock Band

One of the coolest aspects of Rock Band on the Xbox 360 is the ability to download new hit songs, which are added to the game on a regular basis. The songs cost roughly two dollars as of July 2010, and only take a few minutes to download. There are more than 1,700 Rock Band songs available for download.

  Start your Xbox 360.

  Insert your Rock Band video game.

  At the Xbox welcome screen, go to "My Xbox" and highlight the Rock Band icon. Press "A."

  When you get to the Rock Band menu, highlight "Music Store." Press "A." The songs are sorted by name, artist, or difficulty. To see more information about a specific song, press "A."

  Highlight the next action you want to initiate and press "A:" you can preview the song, purchase the song, or see what track packs the song may be a part of.

  When you&'re ready, purchase a song, and your download will begin after you verify the purchase. The download shouldn&'t take longer than a few minutes. Any songs you download will be playable from the song list in any of the game modes.
