How to Connect Your XBox 360 Without the Wireless Adaptor

Although technology can sometimes be daunting, connecting your Xbox Live to the Internet without a wireless adapter is generally easy. Assuming you already have Internet and an Xbox 360, all you’ll need is an Ethernet cable, which is available in most stores. Beyond that, connecting your Xbox 360 to the Internet is simple.

      Ethernet cable

Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the modem or router, depending on your network setup. It does not matter which end you connect, as both ends are the same. If you are using only a modem, disconnect the computer from the modem and connect your Ethernet cable.

If you have a router, connect the Ethernet cable into one of the router's I/O ports, which is typically on the back of the router.
