How to Access an Xbox 360 HDD Plugged Into a Computer

An Xbox 360 hard disk drive (HDD) is formatted to work with the operating system of the device it is placed in. You can access an Xbox 360 HDD that is plugged into a PC by using an Xbox HDD reading program that can emulate the Xbox’s operating system. There are a number of Xbox 360 operating system programs created by game enthusiasts, most freely distributed for Windows-based operating systems and work in a similar manner to each other to read the data off an Xbox 360 HDD. The PC’s operating system will not be harmed in any way by using a Xbox HDD reading program.
