Component
Turn the Xbox 360 off. Insert the squared connector of the component cable into the A/V port on the back of the Xbox 360. Move the slider to the "HDTV" position.
Insert the color prongs on the opposite side of the component cable into their corresponding inputs on your television (e.g. red into red and green into green). You do not need to insert the yellow prong. On most TVs, the component inputs are located on the back and sometimes on either side of the TV. Notice the split on the component cable between the audio and video prongs (they are separated, making them easy to identify). The audio prongs (the red and white prong) must be inserted into the standard AV ports on your TV.
Turn your TV on. Select the "Component" display mode.
