Charging the Headset
Connect the USB charging cable included with the Xbox 360 wireless headset to the headset&'s power input.
Plug the USB end of the USB charging cable into one of the USB ports found on the front of the Xbox 360 console.
Allow the Xbox 360 wireless headset to charge until the four lights on the device blink simultaneously. While the device charges, the lights will blink in a sequence individually.
Syncing the Headset
Press the power button on your Xbox 360 to turn on the console.
Press the power button on the Xbox 360 wireless headset to turn on the device.
Press the sync button found near the memory unit slots (original Xbox 360) or USB bay (slim Xbox 360) on the front of the Xbox 360 console.
Press the sync button on the Xbox 360 wireless headset to sync it with the console. The sync button is located on the inside of the headset&'s microphone.
Press the sync button on the Xbox 360 wireless headset repeatedly to switch the headset&'s player assignment. The headset will beep once when assigned to the first player controller, twice for the second player controller, three times for the third player controller and four times for the fourth player controller. A light will illuminate on the headset representing its player assignment.
Using the Headset
Slide the Xbox 360 wireless headset over your right or left ear with the microphone facing toward your mouth.
Adjust the microphone gently until it is in a comfortable position, moving it up, down, left and right.
Press the power button once to turn on the Xbox 360 wireless headset.
Adjust the volume by pressing or holding the volume buttons on the headset. Mute the headset by pressing the power button once briefly. Unmute the headset by pressing the power button once again, briefly.
Turn off the Xbox 360 wireless headset by holding down the power button or shut down your Xbox 360 console. The headset will switch off automatically when you power down the console.
