How to Transfer Music From an Xbox 360 Hard Drive to a Computer

Microsoft Xbox 360 consoles can play music files from the system&'s hard drive. These music files can be copied to any USB storage device from the console&'s hard drive. No additional software to is required, only the Xbox 360 console&'s operating system.

Instructions

      Power on the console and allow the main menu or "Dashboard" to load. Turn on your Xbox 360 controller and insert your USB memory device.

      Use the analog stick to move to the right and highlight the "Music" tab. Then select "Hard Drive" and select the music files you wish to copy. Press "B" to go back and select the "USB Memory Device" you inserted.

      Press "A" to select "Copy Files to USB Memory Device" and the music files will begin copying from the Xbox 360 hard drive to your USB memory device. They can be transferred or played at any time from either the Xbox 360 hard drive or your USB memory device after the copying process is complete.
