How to Transfer Data From a Computer to Xbox

Your Microsoft Xbox 360 can stream and download music, videos and images off your computer. It is not a one-button setup, however: you need a Windows Media Center PC and a wireless router, among other items. Once you have obtained the necessary equipment, you will be able to enjoy your digital media on your big screen.

Instructions

      Connect a Media Center PC into a router with an Ethernet cable.

      Slide a wireless adapter into the USB port located in the back of the Xbox 360, then snap the adapter into the system just above the port.

      Turn on the Xbox 360. Go to the "Systems" tab. Click on "Network Settings", then "Edit Settings." Go to "Wireless Mode" and find your wireless connection. Go to the "Media" tab and select "Media Center".

      Go to http://www.Xbox.com/pc setup on your PC and download the software on the page. When you install the software, select "Network Performance Tuner".

      Select the image, audio or video files to play your media.
