How to Create Your Own XBox 360 Skin

An Xbox 360 "Skin" is a vinyl decal that you apply to the surface of the console. These skins come in various designs that really make customizing your 360 fun. But it is even more fun to design and create your own skins. These days, creating your own skin is easier using the many online resources that provide the tools you need. Even if you&'ve never created a skin before you&'ll find that it&'s a fun and straightforward process.

Instructions

  Open your Web browser and navigate to a skin design Website (see resources). Many useful Websites have similar design templates.

  Select the "Design Skin" tab from the main menu of whichever Website you are visiting and then select the "Video Game" or "Gaming Devices" option.

  Select "Xbox 360" from the list of options and a design template will appear.

  Select categories and themes that interest you and then choose from a list of photos from that particular category. If you want to use your own images and the Website you are using has a photo upload option, simply click on the "Upload" tab in the design tool and follow the on-screen prompts to upload digital photos from your computer.

  Select the "Text" tab in the design tool menu and enter any text you like into the box that appears.

  Add any colors to the picture you like by choosing a color from the palette in the design tool menu.

  Click on the "Preview" tab to see a picture of what your Xbox 360 will look like with your new skin. When you are satisfied, click the "Buy" or "Purchase" tab and follow the on-screen prompts to enter your payment and address information. Your new skin will arrive at your doorstep within a few days.
