How to Make a Laptop into an Xbox 360 Laptop

If you own an Xbox 360 and a PC laptop you may not know that it&'s actually possible to connect the two devices and run your Xbox from your laptop. This is due to the fact that the 360 already comes network-enabled with the ability to connect to the Internet in order for you to be able to play games with your friends. Even if you aren&'t particularly computer savvy you&'ll be pleased to find that hooking your 360 up to your laptop is relatively straightforward.

      Turn your Xbox 360 and computer on and access the wireless Internet on your computer.

      Insert one end of an Ethernet cable into the appropriate port in your particular laptop and insert the other end into the port located in the back of the Xbox 360. Consult your user guides if you are having problems locating the ports on your Xbox and computer.

      Click on the "Start" tab in the lower left corner of your computer&'s desktop, open the Control Panel, and select "Network Options." Depending on your version of Windows and your configuration, doing so may involve different actions.

      Select the "Connect To" option in the list and then select "Show All Connections."

      Locate your wireless connection in the list and use the mouse to right-click on it. Choose "Properties" from the list that appears.

      Click the "Advanced" tab in the Properties window and check the box next to the "Allow other network users to connect through this computer&'s Internet connection" option.

      Scroll through the list of options in the "Home Networking Connection" drop-down menu and select "Local Area Connection."

      Uncheck the box next to the "Allow other network users to control or disable the shared Internet connection" option.

      Click "OK." The screen will close and your Xbox screen will now be visible in your browser on your computer&'s desktop.
