Cut the Xbox breakaway cable from the Xbox controller halfway between the plug in the middle and the Xbox plug with the scissors.
Strip an inch of insulation off the exposed colored wires of each half using the wire strippers.
Cut off one side of the USB cable with the scissors. Strip an inch of insulation off the exposed colored wires of the side of the USB cable that has the USB plug using the wire snippers.
Twist the end of the exposed colored wires of the USB cable with the matching colored wires of the Xbox plug. Twist this set of colored wires with the matching wires of the Xbox cable. Ignore the yellow wire.
Match the colored wires of the Xbox breakaway cable to the colored wires of the Xbox plug and USB plug that have been twisted together. Heat up the soldering iron for five minutes. Solder the connected wires using solder to hold them together. Let the solder cool for two minutes.
