How to Use an Xbox 360 Headset on a Computer

The Xbox 360 comes with a convenient headset that allows gamers to send voice messages to friends, and also strategize, taunt, and talk to teammates and foes in the battlefield. While it was specially designed for the Xbox 360 with a 2.5 mm connector (versus the 3.5 mm norm for computers), if you have the right adapter (see Reference), you can use your Xbox 360 headset on your computer. Once converted to the proper connection, the Xbox 360 headset will work just like a standard PC headset.
