Hoard. This method works well if your character has plenty of strength. Pick up every little item you can without stealing. If you become over-encumbered, drop the worthless items. By constantly keeping your inventory full, you can make trips to the market shops and sell them during your travels.
Thieve. If your character has a high level of sneak, you can quietly break into homes and steal expensive items. Make sure not to disturb anybody or else you will be arrested, and all of those stolen items will be lost.
Get unlimited armor by being a mage. If your intelligence and wisdom are high, you can trick the game into providing you with unlimited armor. Cast "Bound Armour" (purchased from Athragar at the Mages Guild) and allow your armor to be damaged. Have your armor repaired in the market shops. Either wait for your spell to expire or cast "Dispel" (obtained by making a staff at the Mages Guild). Sell the armor. This may done infinitely.
