Instructions
Ensure that the AV cable is connected to the back of your Xbox 360 and into a power source, and that the video cables are connected to both your TV and Xbox 360.
Insert two AA batteries into the back of the Xbox 360 remote.
Press the round "Power" button on the front of the Xbox 360 console. Hold the middle "X" power button on your controller to power it on. Press and release the "Connect" button on the console. Press and release the "Connect" button on top of the Xbox 360 controller. The green lights on your Xbox 360 console and controller should flash and your controller will be synced to the console.
Insert a game disc into the disc tray and close the tray. The game will automatically load. Follow the onscreen instructions to advance to the game&'s main menu, which is typically the "Start" button. The "A" button makes selections and the analog stick moves up, down and sideways to highlight selections. "B" takes you back to the previous screen. Consult your game&'s instruction manual for specific in-game instructions, as controls for each game are different.
Sign into your Xbox Live profile to download an update that allows you to play original Xbox games. Insert an original Xbox disc into the disc tray of your Xbox 360. Click "Yes" to install the necessary backward compatibility update. After the download and automatic installation are completed, you can play original Xbox games on your Xbox 360.
