How to Add HD to an Xbox 360 Core System

The Xbox 360 Core system was released in 2005 as the lesser of two Xbox 360 console packages. While the Pro package included a 20 GB hard drive and a wireless controller and HDMI output, among other benefits, the lower-priced Core system included the bare essentials. This meant that Core owners didn&'t receive the necessary cable required for high-definition game play. Not only that, the Core console didn&'t have HDMI outputs. Fortunately, Core owners can still upgrade to HD by purchasing a component A/V cable, allowing their console to run up to 1080p resolution on an HD TV.
