      Connect the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows to any available USB port on your computer. The "New Hardware Wizard" will open.

      Select "Install the software automatically (Recommended)" and click "Next." If you&'re using Windows Vista 7, the setup will be successful and you can move to step 3. If you&'re using Windows XP, download the drivers from the "Resources" section below. Follow the onscreen instructions to access the Wireless Receiver for Windows drivers. Save the .exe file to your desktop. Double-click the .exe file to begin the installation. Follow the user-specific instructions to complete the installation.

      Press the "Power" button on the wireless headset. Press the "Connect" button on the wireless receiver. Press the "Sync" button on the wireless headset. The lights on both devices will flash and then stabilize once they are synced.
