Convert MP3 Player Files
Connect your MP3 player to the PC using a USB cord. This cord comes standard with any MP3 player.
Open Windows Media Player.
Click the down arrow directly below the “Burn” tab in Windows Media Player. A submenu will appear.
Click “Audio CD” in the submenu. This will cause the program to convert the MP3 files before burning it to the CD. Creating a data CD would cause the program to directly copy the MP3 files to the CD instead. The Xbox 360 could play these MP3 files from the data CD, but you must create an audio CD to actually rip music to the hard drive.
Click on the “Burn” tab.
Click on the MP3 player in the list on the left side of the screen. This will display the songs on your MP3 player in the song list.
Drag the songs on your MP3 player to the "Burn List" on the right hand of the screen. This is the list of all the songs you want to add to the Xbox 360 hard drive.
Insert a blank CD-R into the CD-RW drive on the PC.
Press the “Start Burn” button at the bottom of the burn list. This will convert the MP3 files and add them to the audio CD.
Rip Audio CD
Insert the audio CD into the Xbox 360 console. The music player will start automatically when an audio CD is inserted.
Select “Rip CD” from the music player options. A progress bar will appear.
Wait for the progress bar to complete. This will rip music from the CD to the Xbox 360 hard drive.
