How to Repair an E74 Error on an Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 gaming console will display an "E74 error" when the system is suffering from a hardware crash. You will see the message "E74. System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support." written in many different languages on your television screen when this error occurs. First, you should confirm the error by recreating it. If the error persists, you should submit a repair request with Microsoft. Microsoft will repair your Xbox 360 for up to three years after its purchase if it suffers from an "E74 error."

  Turn off your Xbox 360 after you receive the "E74 error" message.
