Things You'll Need
Instructions
Check your power supply cables. In some cases, the problem lies with the power output of the console. Find the power cord located in the back of your Xbox. Unplug the power cord from the wall first, and then from the power supply unit. Wait a few seconds, and then reconnect the power cord back into your Xbox 360. Make sure you plug the power cord back into the wall outlet as well.
Try an outlet in a different room. If Step 1 does not alleviate the issue, move the console to a different room. First, turn off your console and disconnect the power supply from the Xbox 360 and the wall outlet. Take the console and power supply to another room. Then plug in the power supply to the Xbox and the electrical console in the wall. Power on the console and refer to the power supply light.
Cool the power supply. If Step 2 does not work, try disconnecting the power supply from the wall, and the Xbox. Place the power supply in a cool spot for at lease 30 minutes. Reconnect the power supply back to the wall and the console. Turn the power on the console, and check to see which color light the Xbox emits.
Submit a console repair request. There are no other feasible options to repairing the console by yourself. Microsoft has a website dedicated to repairing Xbox 360s. See resources for the link.
