How to Upload Videos From XBox 360

The Xbox 360 is capable of playing a wide variety of video games. Gamers often wish to share video of their games with friends by capturing and recording output from their sessions and uploading it to Internet video sharing sites. There are a few methods for recording and uploading your game videos. The simplest one involves using a video capture device attached to your computer.

Things You'll Need

XBox 360 HD AV cable
Analog AV capture card and software

  Install the software for the AV capture card, and plug the device into your computer. Many capture cards interface with the USB port.

  Plug the HD AV cable into the larger output port on the back of your XBox and plug the color-coded RCA plugs on the other end of the cable into the accompanying color-coded RCA ports on the capture card.

  Start up the capture card software and begin recording. Turn on your XBox and begin the game you wish to record.

  Save the video files to a directory reserved for them once you stop recording. Your video capture software will prompt you to select a place to save the files once you finish recording.

  Upload the files to a video upload site like YouTube or Vimeo by creating an account on that site and then selecting the videos you wish to upload from your game videos directory.
