How to Play Call of Duty 4 on Xbox 360

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is a first-person shooter game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and the Windows and Mac operating systems. In the game, you complete a series of war missions set in the fictional future of the Middle East. Throughout "Call of Duty 4" you must take down enemies and perform tactical operations--including calling air strikes. Once you have an understanding of the basic controls of the game, you can easily advance through each mission.

Instructions

  Start the game in "story mode" and then watch the cutscene that begins the game. Use the left thumbstick on your Xbox 360 controller to move your character around.

  Use the right thumbstick on your controller to look around areas without moving. Press down on the left thumbstick to make your character run fast, and press down on the right thumbstick to perform a melee attack.

  Use the "A" button to stand up or jump at any time during the game, and press the "B" button to crouch down. Use the "X" button to reload your gun, and press the "Y" button to swap your weapon with another one that is on the ground.

  Press down on the left bumper button of your controller to use a special grenade item. Press down on the right bumper button to use a normal grenade. Press down on your left trigger button to aim your weapon, and use the right trigger button to shoot.

  Use the "Start" button on your controller to pause the game and view your objectives, and press the "Back" button to go back to a menu page. Use the "up" button on your directional pad to use your night vision goggles.

  Press the "down" button on your directional pad to call an air strike, and use the "left" button to use the grenade launcher. Press the "right" button to lay down landmines.
