An Xbox is a video game console manufactured by Microsoft. It was first released in the United States in 2001, and has grown in popularity ever since. If you are experiencing problems with your Xbox video games, or receive a disc read error when trying to play a game, the disc is likely to be dirty. Xbox video game discs look like DVDs and accumulate dust and dirt which hinder their ability to properly perform. Clean your Xbox games carefully so you don't scratch or damage the disc.

• Lint-free cloth

     Moisten a lint-free cloth with water. Wring it out the cloth well so it is only slightly damp.

     Hold the game disc by the outside edges. Avoid touching the surface the disc.

     Wipe down the entire disc with the cloth. Work from the middle of the disc where the hole is located towards the outer edge. Go over the disc a couple of times to thoroughly clean it. Let the disc air-dry thoroughly before putting it in the Xbox.
