Insert the Xbox 360 memory card into the memory card reader. Plug the memory card reader̵7;s USB plug into a USB port on the computer. Wait for the icon of the Xbox 360 memory card to appear on the desktop.
Download an Xbox 360 viewing program and an Xbox modification program to the desktop of the computer, for example, the free Halo 2 Mod Tools folder (see Resources). Double-click on the file once it has downloaded to decompress an Xbox 360 viewing program and an Xbox modification program to the desktop.
Double-click on the icon of the Xbox 360 viewing program to launch it. Select ̶0;Open̶1; from the ̶0;File̶1; drop down menu. Select ̶0;Hard drive or Memcard̶0; from the ̶0;File̶1; submenu.
Select the game save icon in the left column of the Xbox 360 viewing program. Select ̶0;Partition3̶1; in the left column. Select ̶0;Compatibility̶1; below ̶0;Partition3.̶1; Click the (+) button next to the folder to drop a submenu down. Select ̶0;Xbox1̶1; from the submenu.
Select ̶0;Tdata̶1; from beneath ̶0;Xbox1.̶1; Click the (+) button to drop a submenu down. Select the ̶0;4d530064̶1; folder. Click the (+) button next to the folder to drop a submenu down. Select the ̵6;$c̶1; folder. Click the (+) button next to the folder to drop a submenu down.
Select one of the folders beneath the ̶0;$c̶1; folder. Select one of the maps from the right column of the Xbox 360 modification program. Drag the map file to the desktop to make a copy.
Double-click on the Xbox 360 modification program̵7;s icon to launch it. Select ̶0;Dot Halo̶1; from the "Program̶1; drop-down menu at the top left of the program̵7;s screen to bring up a new screen.
Click on the ̶0;Open̶1; button in the new screen. Navigate to the map file that was downloaded to the desktop. Click on the map file with the mouse. Click on the ̶0;Open̶1; button on the window.
Select a weapon from the left side of the program̵7;s screen. Select a projectile mod from the right side of the the program̵7;s screen. Select a projectile from the drop-down menu at the upper left of the program̵7;s screen. Click the ̶0;Save̶1; button at the lower bottom of the program̵7;s screen. Click the ̶0;Done̶1; button when it appears. Close the program by clicking on the red button at the upper-right corner of the screen.
Select ̶0;DMP̶1; from the Patches̶1; drop-down menu from the Xbox 360 viewing program that is still on the screen. Click on ̶0;Open Map.̶1; Navigate through the folders back to where you took the map file. Drag the map file from the desktop that has been modified into it̵7;s original folder. Click on ̶0;Yes̶1; when the ̶0;Overwrite file̶1; pop-up window appears.
Quit the XBox 360 modification program. Right-click on the icon of the XBox 360 memory card. Select ̶0;Eject̶1; from the pop-up menu. Remove the memory card reader from the USB port of the computer. Remove the Xbox 360 memory card from the memory card reader.
