How to Play DVDs on a Soft Modded Xbox

The Microsoft Xbox uses a DVD drive to play video game discs, but can not play DVDs because the operating system forbids doing so. An Xbox that has been "softmodded" no longer has this restriction as the operating system has been modified. You can burn a DVD on a computer and then play it on the softmodded Xbox. All you need is a video file to burn onto a DVD using a DVD-burning program, many of which are available for free for Mac and PCs.
