Things You'll Need
Instructions
Attach your Xbox 360 wireless networking adapter to your Xbox 360 console by snapping the plastic tabs on the adapter into the appropriate slots located on the back of the console, then connecting the adapter's USB cable into the console's USB port. Finally, flip up the antennae on the adapter.
Power on your Xbox 360 console. Using your XBox 360 controller, go to the "My XBox" section on the main menu.
Scroll over to "System Settings" and press the "A" button on your controller. Scroll down to "Network Settings" and press "A."
Highlight "Configure Network" and press "A." Highlight "Wireless Mode" under the "Basic Settings" tab and press "A."
Highlight "Scan for Networks" and press "A."
The name of your wireless network should appear. If you see it, highlight it and press A. If you have security set up (WEP, WPA, WPA2), you will be asked to provide your password. Use the onscreen keyboard to enter your password, and select "Done" when you are finished.
If you do not see your network's name, select the "Specify Unlisted Network" option and enter your wireless network name (SSID). Use the onscreen keyboard to enter your network's name and password.
Return to the "Network Settings" menu, highlight the "Test Xbox Live Connection" option and press "A." The system will then test your Wi-Fi connection. If you are successfully connected to the network, the screen will read "Xbox Live is up and running."
