Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take apart the Xbox 360 controller by unscrewing the six screws on the back of the device and a seventh at the bottom of the battery case.
Remove the joysticks, D-pad, shoulder buttons, Xbox 360 logo button, start and select buttons, and the four colored action buttons. They will pop out of the controller once the screws are loosened.
Lightly sand down the outside of the controller to remove some of the gloss.
Cover all of the holes in the controller, where the buttons once were, with painter's tape. Use the utility knife and scissors to make sure the holes are covered all the way so that no paint or primer can get into the controller.
Spray the controller with two light coats of primer and let the controller dry for about an hour.
Spray the colored plastic paint on the controller in light coats so as to not smear the paint or create unattractive air bubbles. Allow the controller to dry for about 24 hours and then reassemble it.
