How to Transfer Your 360 Data From One HDD to Another

Transfer to Memory Unit

  Plug the Xbox 360 memory unit into the matching slot on the front of the console. This is the slot located directly underneath the disc drive. Alternatively, plug a USB flash drive into the USB slot on the console.

  Select ̶0;System Settings̶1; from the ̶0;My Xbox̶1; section of the Dashboard menu. This is the menu that appears when the console is first turned on. Press ̶0;Up̶1; on the controller to scroll to the ̶0;My Xbox̶1; section. Press ̶0;Right̶1; on the controller to scroll through the options until you locate ̶0;System Settings.̶1;

  Select ̶0;Memory̶1; from the ̶0;System Settings̶1; menu.

  Select the ̶0;Hard Drive̶1; option.

  Select the file you want to transfer to another Xbox 360 HDD by pressing the ̶0;A̶1; button. The files are sorted by file type in the hard drive menu.

  Select ̶0;Copy̶1; or ̶0;Move̶1; from the file menu. The storage device menu will appear after you do this. Both options will send the file to the memory unit, but the ̶0;Move̶1; option also removes it from the Xbox 360 HDD when used to transfer 360 data.

  Select the Xbox 360 memory unit or USB flash drive from the storage device menu.

  Wait for the transfer to complete.

  Remove the memory unit or flash drive from the console once finished.

Transfer from Memory Unit

  Navigate to the memory unit or flash drive being used to transfer 360 data between the two HDD̵7;s. It is located in the ̶0;Memory̶1; section of the ̶0;System Settings̶1; menu.

  Select the file you want to transfer to the other Xbox 360 HDD from the memory menu.

  Select ̶0;Copy̶1; or ̶0;Move̶1; to transfer the file from the storage unit to the hard drive. The storage device menu will appear.

  Select the ̶0;Hard Drive̶1; from the storage device menu.

  Wait for the transfer to complete. This will finish the process of moving a file from one HDD to another.
