How to Get Netflix on Your XBox

The Xbox 360 is a video game console that allows you to connect to the Internet to play multiplayer games online, download special features for the console and use the Web browser to visit websites. The Xbox 360 also has the ability to stream Netflix movies, when you have a Netflix account. Netflix is a video rental service that allows users to view a library of films online. Before setting up the Netflix application on your Xbox 360, you must make sure that you have an Xbox Live account.

  Go to the Netflix website and sign up with for a free trial or membership using the form on the right-hand side of the homepage.

  Turn on your Xbox 360 after you've successfully signed up for Netflix. Open your Xbox 360 dashboard.

  Use your thumbstick to locate the "Video Marketplace" option and press the "A" button on your controller.

  Locate the "Netflix" icon and then select the "Confirm Download" option by pressing the "A" button on your controller.

  Click on the "Play Now" option once the download finishes, and you will receive an activation code. Enter your email address and password for your Netflix account and the press the "A" button on your controller to sign in.

  Enter in the activation code you were given when the activation screen pops up, and then press the "A" button on your controller. You will then have access to Netflix on your Xbox 360.
