How to Make Your Own Gamer Picture for XBox

The first thing users do when starting their Xbox 360 for the first time is create a user profile. This profile saves all of that person's game progress, achievements and Xbox LIVE content. Each profile is also highly customizable, allowing gamers to choose a motto, select a gaming community and pen a short bio. They can also add a gamer picture from dozens of free preloaded ones. But, if users really want to have a custom look to their profile they can make their own gamer picture with the aid of the Xbox LIVE Vision Camera.

  Connect the Xbox LIVE Vision camera to your Xbox 360 by connecting its USB cable to one of the controller plug-ins. Notice that the camera's light illuminates and flashes green to indicate power.

  Power on the console and log in to the profile that you want to make your own gamer picture for.

  Press the "Guide" button to bring up the console's Guide menu and navigate to the Settings page.

  Choose "Profile" then select "Edit Profile."

  Choose "Gamer Picture" then select "Take Personal Picture." A live feed of your camera will appear on-screen.

  Take your gamer picture by pressing the "A" button. You can then either save the picture of take a new one.
