How to Troubleshoot Four Red Lights on the Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 has a ring of four lights surrounding the power button on the front of the console. When all four are lit a steady green, this indicates that the device is working normally. One or more flashing red indicates a technical problem. The type of problem detected is indicated by the number and configuration of lights flashing red. When all four flash red, this means the console cannot detect an audio/video (AV) cable.
