Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off the Xbox 360 console.
Remove the old hard drive from the Xbox 360 console. This does not need to be done if the system does not have a hard drive, such as the Xbox 360 Core or Arcade systems. Press the tab down on the hard drive to lift it out of the console.
Press the wider half into the far end of the empty hard drive slot. The hard drive should be just under the lip on the console. The plug on the hard drive should line up approximately with the port on the console. These two pieces must be lined up for successful installation.
Press the thinner half of the new hard drive into the hard drive slot. The plug on the hard drive should go into the port on the console. The tab on the hard drive will click once the hard drive is securely inserted.
Turn on the Xbox 360 console. The console should now be able to read the new hard drive.
