Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place your Xbox 360 within range of the wireless adapter you use to connect to the Internet. Most wireless adapters have a range of about 150 feet, if not obstructed by thick walls or solid objects.
Unplug any cables from the Ethernet port of your Xbox 360. Connect the Wireless Networking Adapter to the spot above the barcode on the back of the system by snapping the two plastic tabs into place and plugging the Adapter's USB cable into the console's rear USB port.
Flip up the antenna or antennas (depending on the model) on your Xbox Wireless Networking Adapter. If the light on the Adapter glows green, connection is complete. If the light is solid red or flashing green, move on to the next step.
Turn on your Xbox 360 and navigate to the "My Xbox" section of the menu. Select "System Settings."
Choose "Network Settings," "Configure Network," "Basic Settings," and "Wireless Mode."
Select "Scan for Networks" and select your wireless network from the list. If you do not see your network in the list, select "Specify Unlisted Network" and enter your network's name and security details (ask the person who set up your network if you don't know these). Enter your network's password and select "Done."
Press your controller's "B" button and select "Test Wireless Connection." Your console will connect to Xbox Live and allow you to sign in.
