How to Add New Wireless Controllers to Xbox 360 NBA Live

In"NBA Live," you take control of some of the best players in the NBA, setting up plays and making split decisions on the fast break. While playing alone, you can even set up a dynasty and try to win the NBA championship year after year. Still, sometimes you may just want a little human contact in the game. To do that, you should have another friend join the game on a wireless controller.

2 AA batteries

Instructions

  Put batteries in the Xbox 360 controller. Open up the back panel of the controller, and you will see a slot to place two AA batteries in this detachable panel. Install the two AA batteries. Reconnect the panel.

  Turn on your Xbox 360. Press the circular button on the front of the console. You can also hold down the Xbox Guide button---the giant "X" on the center of the controller---on the controller that you already have connected.

  Start "NBA Live." Depending on your Xbox 360's settings, the game may automatically start. Otherwise, you will have to choose it from the Xbox 360's main menu.

  Turn on the new controller. Hold down the Xbox guide button on the center of the controller or hold down "Start" to turn on the controller.

  Press the connect button on the Xbox 360. Don't press and hold it, just press it. This is a circular button located next to the two memory card ports.

  Press the connect button on the wireless controller. The connect button is located on top of the controller, in the middle, with three parentheses---"((("---next to it. When you press this button, the lights will start spinning around the Xbox guide button until they solidify in a corner. This means the controller has been connected.

  Play the game. The quickest way to get into action is the "Play Now" mode, where you pick two teams and play. When you select, you can choose to be on the same team or to play against each other.
