Things You'll Need
Instructions
Lay your boxes flat and trace on them the shape of the energy sword with the marker, with a blank area where the handle will be. You̵7;ll want to make two copies of this drawing on two separate pieces of cardboard.
Cut out the shape of the energy sword from each of the traced pieces of cardboard. Lay them atop one another and use short strips (4 to 6 inches) of duct tape to tape the cut-outs together at the outer edges only.
Cut two more strips of cardboard, roughly three inches wide and as long as the blades of your sword, from handle to tip. Use these strips to spread out the interior edge of each blade, giving your sword a three dimensional look.
Tape the paper towel roll into place as the handle.
Ball up several sheets of tin foil, then carefully un-bunch them and cover your sword with them, except the handle. Use the scotch tape to secure the tin foil.
Cover your shiny sword with a layer of sky-blue spray paint; keep the can at least 12 inches away from the sword while spraying. This will give your sword an accurate, bluish tinge while letting the tinfoil still reflect light.
Spray an even lighter coating of white over the top of your blue coating, making sure to keep the can at least 16 inches from the sword. You should also coat the entire handle in a solid coat of white paint.
